Are you ready to Move Beyond Control, Reconnect to Your Body, and Dance With Freedom Instead of Tension?
You didn’t fall in love with dance to feel stiff, self-conscious, or trapped in your head.
And yet… here you are.
Overthinking.
Holding your breath.
Performing instead of feeling.
Doing all the “right” things—yet walking off the floor disconnected, flat, or frustrated.
This is for you...
If you are technically capable but emotionally blocked.
If you see dancers who move with an inner essence, and you want to learn how to have that.
If you are constantly judging yourself when you walk off the dance floor.
If you want to have more freedom, ease, and joy when you dance.
If you have been stuck at the same level and want to level up.
Embodied dancing isn’t about more effort.
It’s about safety in the nervous system, permission in the body, and truth in expression.
And that’s exactly what we’re here to reclaim.
Why This Matters (More Than You Think)
Most dancers are taught to override their bodies.
To push through discomfort.
To suppress emotion.
To focus on dancing perfectly.
Over time, that creates:
✅ Chronic tension and holding
✅ Fear of being seen as you really are
✅ Emotional numbness or performative movement
✅ Shallow Breathing and lack of emotional expression
This isn’t a motivation issue.
It’s not a discipline issue.
And it’s definitely not a talent issue.
It’s a nervous system issue.
TRUTH: When the body doesn’t feel safe, expression shuts down.
When expression shuts down, dance becomes mechanical.
When dance becomes mechanical, joy disappears.

Hello I'm Amy Schadt!
I’m the creator of the Radical Embodiment Method and certified life coach devoted to helping dancers come back home to themselves, their truth, their power, and their creative aliveness.
For over 20 years, as an educator, dancer, and coach, I’ve walked alongside people who feel overwhelmed, disconnected from their worth, or quietly dimming themselves to get through life. These patterns don’t appear out of nowhere. They’re often formed early and live in the body, shaping how we move, love, and create.
This workshop focuses on mind body awareness and expression, not technique or perfection. Drawing on decades of professional dance experience, teaching, and embodiment-based coaching, I help dancers move past overthinking and control so they can breathe, feel their bodies again, and move with more ease, musicality, and presence.
Using my Radical Embodiment Method, you’ll begin to release the emotional weight you’ve been carrying and reconnect with your presence, your creativity, and your inner knowing. You won’t be asked to force change or “push through.” Instead, you’ll soften old patterns, open to possibility, and remember who you are beneath the noise.
Things to Know About Me...
I’ve lived inside the dance world for decades—training, performing, teaching, and mentoring dancers at every stage.
And I’ve also lived inside perfectionism, pressure, grief, and the kind of unraveling that happens when control finally stops working.
As a dancer, I was my own harshest critic. I chased perfection relentlessly and often walked off stage feeling defeated instead of fulfilled. The joy that brought me to dance in the first place slowly disappeared. It felt like I was moving through the world with a shield strapped to my chest—protected, but cut off.
Like many creatives, I was a hider and a hesitator. Full of ideas, passion, and potential… and yet holding back.
Everything changed in 2011, when my fiancé passed away. That loss forced me to rebuild from the ground up—my life, my identity, and my relationship with myself.
At 43, I returned to school.
At 46, I earned my BA in Performing Arts.
At 48, I became a certified life coach.
And then I realized something important: coaching alone wasn’t enough.
To truly support dancers and creatives, I needed to bring the body back into the conversation.
At 50, I created the Radical Embodiment Method—a 4-step process designed to help women release self-doubt and perfectionism, reconnect to their bodies, and reclaim their creative truth.
The Embodied Dancer Workshop is where all of this comes together.
This work isn’t theoretical.
It’s lived.
It’s practiced.
And it’s rooted in deep respect for dancers and their bodies.
It’s about helping you move beyond control…
so expression, presence, and joy can come back —naturally.
